The RIGHT Recliner

I usually don't post things that I see on other blogs, as I like to keep my content original. But I was over at the Furniture Fashion blog and I saw a wonderful recliner, and wanted to share it with you.

As an interior decorator, I have to tell you...recliners are a thorn in my side. In fact, generally just the WORD "recliner" sends a chill up my spine, because I know what's coming. I will work hard with the wife, trying to create a beautiful family room; but inevitably, the husband will insist on including some crazy recliner that completely ruins the look. You know the kind...the ones that look like they've been transported directly from 1980:

La-Z-Boy reclinerNow, I'm sorry...but this is every decorator's nightmare. I certainly mean no disrespect to La-Z-Boy (who also makes some really nice pieces), and I know that these are incredibly comfortable, but if your goal is to have a beautiful, updated room, this is the last thing you want in your room. Especially when there are so many other great, updated options!

So now on to the recliner I found at Furniture Fashion:
beautiful, traditional style leather recliner from Arhaus--the right kind of recliner
Isn't that nice? It's a traditional design, which would add a classic touch to your room. So, you see? When it comes to recliners, it IS possible to have style AND comfort! This gorgeous recliner is from Arhaus.

Recently, I have been wishing for a new recliner, one that would provide me with back support as I am leaning back. The thing is, this chair appears to be exactly what I need, but my kitties would have a field day with it. Too bad. It is so perfect.

Now if only I could talk my husband into a recliner like this! I will give him credit though, we are renovating and redecorating our living room and we do have a leather wingback recliner in blue with nailhead trim and he has agreed to that one and throwing his old one out. Thanks for sharing.
